Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Adıgüzel is currently serving as the Coordinator of Tourism Specialization at Bitlis Eren University, Türkiye. He earned his Ph.D. in Geography from Istanbul University in 2021, following his M.Sc. (2014) and B.Sc. (2009) degrees in Geography from Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. His research focuses on climate change, land use and land cover change, sustainable tourism development, and the interactions between tourism and environmental systems. He actively applies GIS and remote sensing techniques to analyze spatial, climatic, and ecological dynamics across Türkiye.

Dr. Adıgüzel began his academic career at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, where he worked between 2015 and 2018. From 2018 to 2022, he served at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, contributing to several academic and institutional initiatives in the fields of tourism and geography. Since joining Bitlis Eren University, he has played a key role in advancing the university’s regional specialization efforts in tourism.

He has organized and chaired numerous national and international symposiums and scientific meetings focusing on tourism, sustainability, and environmental studies, fostering collaboration between academia and regional stakeholders. Dr. Adıgüzel continues to publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributes to interdisciplinary projects addressing the impacts of climate change on tourism and spatial development. His academic interests include the integration of geospatial technologies into tourism planning, climate impact assessment, and bioclimatic comfort analysis. Originally from Adana, Türkiye, he is fluent in Turkish and proficient in English.
